Research points to tea to help aid your weight loss struggle. A study of over 1,100 people has recently found that those who drank tea at least once a week for 10 years had 20% less total body fat and 2% less abdominal fat than those who drank none. The theory is that tea may increase the metabolic rate while lowering the absorption of sugar and fat producing molecules. So drink up!
Health Tip #2 - Back Pain? Here is an Easy Answer!
Back pain is one of the most common health complaints in the world today. In fact, it is said that over 90% of the population suffers from aching backs. So, what can you do? There is a simple exercise that can put yours at ease. Simply stand with your feet shoulder-length apart and tighten your buttocks. Put your palms on your rear end and stretch backwards as far as your body will comfortably allow. Slowly return to an upright position. Repeat 10 times, each time trying to go a little further than before. Try to do this every two hours throughout the day and wait until the pain decreases!
Health Tip #3 - Skin Problems Linked to Cosmetics!
Research has concluded that by using a large number of makeup products on your face you could be doing damage to your skin. Predominately, a condition called contact dermatitis, which is marked by inflammation, redness, itching, or broken skin, is likely. This condition is caused by chemical irritation, so the less chemicals used on your face, the better. Remember to wash your face with a mild cleanser each night before going to bed, and try to reduce the amount of cosmetics you use at once to avoid developing this condition.
Health Tip #4 - How to Properly Take Medication or Supplements
Are you perplexed by the instructions on the back of your health supplement or medication bottle? Let's see if we can clear some of confusion with these tips. The phrase with food means during a meal, when your stomach is near full. Before meals means at least one hour before eating, and after meals means at least two hours after. When directed to take a pill on an empty stomach, you should generally wait one hour before or two hours after eating. Also, steer clear of taking medication with highly acidic or calcium fortified beverages, as the drink may intensify or prevent the intended reaction.
